Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

python files edit
Hi, apologies for not marking those files open domain. I imagined that they would become covered by the Wikimedia license just by being uploaded there.
I hereby place those files in the public domain, and/or in whatever public license Wikimedia would require.
If this message is sufficient for you, please go ahead and move them to GitHub or whatever. If not, I will try to move them to GitHub myself over the weekend.

- @Greenrd: Hi, sorry for my bad memory, could you remind me again which python files we are talking about? --Jorge Stolfi (talk) 22:26, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Greenrd: If you give me the link, I can insert a note marking them as public domain. --Jorge Stolfi (talk) 22:29, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
