Thank you for providing images to the Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to the Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.

To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.

You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on the Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!

Hi, Jerzy,
I am both ~~commons:User:enJerzy~~ User:enJerzy (here on WM Commons) and en:User:Jerzy, and i want to make sure that you are aware of the software changes that make it worthwhile for Namenvetter such as you and i to be aware of each other. I am referring to the Unified login (/pl) arrangement, where for each name, it is possible for one editor

to prevent any other user from creating a new account under that name on any WikiMedia Foundation server, and

(i think), by logging a given terminal onto or off any one of those accounts, to simultaneously do so (with respect to that terminal) with all of their accounts that use the name.

I would be grateful to hear your thoughts about these developments, since what you decide should affect my decisions. In particular, i think it will make sense to put a disambiguation box of some sort on my various user and user-talk pages, with links to the current or new corresponding pages of the other three existing Jerzy editors (including you).

I had forgotten to mention the possibility that you will wish to have an SUL account for yourself, and since (i am confident) you cannot be granted "Jerzy" for that purpose, that you will therefore want to have your account renamed to, for instance, User:plJerzy or -- if you were named, say, [[w:Jerzy Neyman] -- User:JerzyN.

Ich bitte um ~~entschuldigung~~ Entschuldigung, daß ich vergessen hatte, Ihnen auch auf Deutsch zu schreiben.

Ich bin User:enJerzy, hier bei WM Commons, und dazu auch en:User:Jerzy. Ich hoffen, Ihnen versichert ~~zu erkundigen~~ über den Softwareveränderungen von dem Unified login (/pl) zu erkundigen. Deswegen hilft es, wenn Namenvetter wie Ihnen und ich diese Sache diskutzieren; deshalb ~~ist~~ es möglich ist, daß ein User sicher wird, daß kein anderer User dieselbe Name zu brauchen anfängt ~~und dazu,~~. Dazu (wenn ich richtig verstehe) bei Login mit einen bestimmten Keyboard und Konto, ~~zusammen~~ bekommt man auch Login mit alle seine andere Kontos mit derselber Name ~~auch Login bekommt~~.

Nach meiner Verständniss, bald bekomme ich das SULrecht für die Name "Jerzy", wegen meiner Adminverantwortlichkeit by bei en:WP, und wegen den zehntausenden meiner Edits in den letzten 4 bis 5 Jahren. Sie sollen aber verstehen, daß so ein Recht endet nicht allein die Möglichkeit, daß Sie sich bei WM Commons noch als User:Jerzy bleiben.

Sie machen mir ein Gunst, wenn wir miteinder diese neue Entwicklungen diskutzieren können. Das steht so, wegen meiner Meinung, daß meine Entscheidung für das "Usurpation" des Jerzykontos auf Ihre Kontnamenveränderungsentscheidung hängen soll. Es ist auch wichtig daß ich weiß, ob sie neue Konto bekommen wollen, um SULrecht für z.B. User:plJerzy oder -- wenn Sie [[w:Jerzy Neyman] hießen -- User:JerzyN.

Und unter allen Umständen, sollen wir zusammen ein Disambiguationbox (Sagt man vielleicht "Begriffsklärungtextzone"?) bauen, der an das Anfang der User:Jerzy- und User talk:Jerzyseiten stehen soll.

Witaj. Piszę do Ciebie na prośbę enJerzego, który używa na angielskiej Wikipedii loginu en:User:Jerzy pokrywającego się z Twoim commonsowym loginem. Chciałby on utworzyć dla siebie konto uniwersalne (/pl) pod loginem używanym na en-wiki i innych projektach, jednak ze względu na zajęcie przez Ciebie tego loginu na Commons nie jest to w tej chwili możliwe. Chciałby Cię więc prosić o zmianę Twego loginu commonsowego na inny, aby mógł zakończyć proces tworzenia swojego konta uniwersalnego. Docelowo w ramach SUL (kont uniwersalnych) konta o takich samych nazwach mają być połączone w jedno. Bardzo Cię proszę o odpowiedź w tej sprawie, może być na mojej stronie dyskusji lub samego zainteresowanego. W razie potrzeby mogę służyć wam jako tłumacz. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Your account will be renamed edit

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Jerzy. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Jerzy~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.

Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
