Copyright status: File:Coronet of an English king of arms.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Coronet of an English king of arms.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

- It describes the source and reasons why I thought I could upload it. Anyway, as I believe that I can upload it, could someone help me with a licence for the image? Thank you.

- I see "Copyright © 2020 The Heraldry Society – All rights reserved" on that page. Our licensing policy states specifically in part "the following information must be given on the description page, regardless if the license requires it or not:" followed by "The License that applies to the material. This must be done using a copyright tag." — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 00:42, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Jeff G., Hi there, the library page states this: "If you use any item from this library, in whole or in part or in any form, for presentation or publication, we ask only that you acknowledge the Heraldry Society as the source, and where possible include a link to this website."
- Kingdom of Baustralia (talk) 01:00, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- There is no allowance for commercial use or derivative works in that statement. Which URL says that? — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 01:05, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

File copyright status edit
Welcome to Wikimedia Commons. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the project, one or more of your file uploads had missing or false information regarding its source and copyright status. Please note that Wikimedia Commons takes copyright rules and infringement very seriously. Files may only be uploaded and included if their copyright status meets the conditions stated in our licensing policy, and if their provenance is clearly documented. Files that fail to meet those conditions may be deleted, and users who fail to meet them may be blocked. Please follow our first steps, if you haven't already. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the Village Pump copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 00:58, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
Charles III Cyphers edit
Re: Template:Royal monograms of the United Kingdom
A monarch having two concurrent cyphers is actually a new thing, which is why I chose the joint image. --Minoa (talk) 02:59, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

Cypher of Prince Philip edit
@Kingdom of Baustralia: Hello there. Sorry to bother you, but given your past work with royal symbols, I was wondering if you'd be willing to create an SVG file of the late Prince Philip's royal cypher (preferably in the "Sodacannic" style), as seen here, here and here. What do you think? Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 15:41, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
