Schädelbilder

Hallo Klausrassiger,
seit einiger Zeit beobachte ich deine / eure Schädeloffensive (da ich alle Säugetierartikel der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia auf meiner Beobachtungsliste habe, bleibt mir das schwerlich verborgen) - gefällt mir sehr gut. Gibt es da ein Projekt oder eine Kooperation mit dem Museum Wiesbaden, die hinter der Aktion steht? Gruß und danke, -- Achim Raschka (talk) 05:26, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

Hallo Herr Raschka, danke für das Lob! Ich arbeite seit einigen Jahren ehrenamtlich für die Naturhistorische Abteilung des Landesmuseums Wiesbaden. In dieser Funktion habe ich z.B. alle Schädel im Magazin fotographiert. Diese Bilder wurden dann von meinem ehrenamtlichen Kollegen Gerhard Cammerer mit dem wissenschaftlichen Namen (die Inv.-Schilder des jeweligen Schädels habe ich ebenfalls fotographiert) der Tiere gekennzeichnet. Nun sind wir beide dabei, die Bilder der Schädel, soweit sie gut erhalten sind, ins Internet zu stellen. Initiator der ganzen Sache ist Fritz Geller-Grimm, der Abteilungsleiter der Naturhistorischen Abteilung. Viele Grüße Klaus Rassinger

Tatsächlich bat ich als Leiter der Naturhistorischen Samnmlungen und in Abstimmung mit der Direktion des Museums Wiesbaden Herrn Rassinger und Herrn Cammerer um Übertragung der Bilder. Soweit nützlich, sollen Exponate der Landessammlungen fotografiert und in Wikimedia frei verfügbar gemacht werden. Besonders hilfreich ist dabei das Ehrenamt. No!! Only the egg on the left belonges to Clamator glandarius. The other two eggs belonges to Pica Pica. The eggs has been collected in Spain in 1895. Best regards KlausKlausrassinger (talk) 13:30, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

skull photos

hello. I am self publishing a book about skull collecting. you have a lot great photos of many animals that I would never be able to find photos of, from private collectors. I would like to use many of the photos in my book if possible. I would like to edit the photos so that the backgrounds are all black. I would be more that happy to credit all your photos. please let me know if this would be a possibility. Unterkiefer zu weit vorne beim Wildkaninchen

Erst mal herzlichen Dank für diese Riesenmenge guter und informativen Bilder zu Tierschädeln! Sehr schönes Projekt! Da werd ich ab und zu mal wieder reinschauen.

Gerade fiel mir aber eine kleine Unsauberkeit bei einem Exponat auf: Beim Schädel des Wildkaninchens ist der Unterkiefer ziemlich verrutscht. Dann hat das Tier einen Unterbiss, die Backenzähne gehen ins Leere und das Kiefergelenk sieht komisch aus. Blart (talk) 08:29, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Danke für den Hinweis. Ja, diese Unsauberkeit ist mir bekannt! Ich wollte das Bild nicht durch Abstützungen oder ähnliches verschandeln und deshalb habe ich in Kauf genommen, dass die Lage der beiden Kiefer zueinander nicht korrekt ist. Ich habe nicht damit gerechnet, dass jemand die Bilder unter kieferorthopädischen Gesichtspunkten betrachtet. Ich werde diesen Schädel nochmals aus dem Magazin des Museums Wiesbaden nehmen und versuchen, ein Bild mit korrekter Okklusion zu machen. Klaus Rassinger
