File:Downtown Oklahoma City and Oklahoma River at Sunset.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

"for editorial use only" edit

We only have en:free content on our projects. Thats content free to use by anyone anytime for every purpose. Restrictions such as "for editorial use only" are strictly prohibited here, please review our Commons:Project scope. --Martin H. (talk) 22:12, 5 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Martin H.! I will remove the permissions on two of the photos and repost. I am learning how to use this site, so if I used "talkback" wrong, too, let me know. Thanks again. ~ Lillie-Beth

Hi, Martin H. I would like to re-upload two of the photos that I posted yesterday with no "editorial use" restriction. I work for the company that owns the photos, and it is the will of my boss that we do this. However, I am having trouble doing so. What do I need to do? Thanks! ~ Lillie-Beth

The system does not allow for reupload of the same file. You can ask for undeletion at Commons:Undeletion requests. You will be asked to provide written permission (see Commons:Permission). This means a declaration of consent provided from the copyright holder (Commons:Email_templates#Declaration_of_consent_for_all_inquiries) will be send to and stored in the Commons:OTRS system. The declaration of consent should refer to the exact filename of your upload. The email template proposes the license Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) which is a contract between the copyright holder (licensor) and anyone who want to reuse the file (licensee) for whatever purpose. --Martin H.
