You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Imágenes del Tenorio Mendocino edit

Hola, Luisantoniocg. La licencia CC-BY-NC-ND de las imágenes del Tenorio Mendocino que subió no es compatible con Commons. Para poder ser usadas, debería cambiar la licencia original a CC-BY o CC-BY-SA u otorgar su cesión de uso a Wikimedia a través de OTRS para que puedan permanecer. Un saludo. No se si se contesta por aquí, bueno. Gracias por molestarte en decírmelo, no se muy bien como va esto de los derechos todavía y no acabo de ver que es lo que tengo que poner en las fotos. Todas las fotos son mías, exceptuando, la azul del cartel que está linkeada a la web donde aparece con licencia creative commons 3.0 (abajo a la derecha). Qué debería hacer?, me aparecen todas con problema de licencia.

Todo indica que las fotos son suyas, cierto. Pero las licencias otiginal y exigida en Wikimedia no son compatibles. No es cierto que alguna tenga licencia CC-BY-SA, más bien las publicó en Picasa con licencia CC-BY-NC-ND (he aquí la prueba). Puede ver las licencias compatibles de manera sencilla aquí. Le recomiendo que cambie las licencias originales, o bien use OTRS para otorgar la licencia de uso a Wikimedia de aquellas imágenes que considere. La segunda opción asegura que sólo las use bajo esa licencia Wikimedia en todos sus proyectos, de la primera forma puede abrir la licencia a otros, incluso personas físicas o jurídicas con ánimo de lucro. También suba las imágenes que sean necesarias, pues Wikimedia no es una galería de alojamiento de fotografías, sino una herramienta de Wikipedia. Si tiene más dudas no dude en contactarme. Un saludo. 1.- Cierto, fallo mio, estaban en picasa con otra licencia, ya lo he cambiado a la más abierta que me permite picasa. A ver si he entendido bien, si quiero publicar en wikipedia debe aparecer con la misma licencia que en picasa verdad? y si no es la misma debo mandar un mail a OTRS es así?

2.- Ya mandé uno diciéndoles que cedo los permisos para publicar las imágenes en wikimedia. Algo así me ha dicho hace un rato Túrelio, pero no se si debo hacerlo para cada imagen o de forma general.

3.- Respecto a las imágenes opino que es mejor más imágenes, pero entiendo que represente más gasto para wikipedia y que se centre en el texto, así que lo tendré en cuenta. Para que no ocupen en wikimedia se pueden linkear a wikipedia desde mi picasa?

4.- ¿Debo subir de nuevo las imágenes o se recuperan solas?

Exactamente, las licencias con la que se comparten deben ser la misma, lo que no significa que sean compatibles con Wikimedia. Pero ya no hay problema. Tenía dos opciones: 1ª, cambiar la licencia original en Picasa por una compatible con Wikimedia; 2ª, ceder los permisos de publicación a Wikimedia a través de OTRS (lo puede hacer a cuantas imágenes desee en un mismo e-mail enlazándolas). Por lo que veo, ud. ha optado por ambas a la vez, con una hubiese sido suficiente (ya le expliqué lo que supone cada opción en un mensaje anterior).

Puede subir cuantas imágenes desee, no hay problema, pero lo conveniente es que sean las justas que representen de la mejor manera posible lo que se quiere mostrar. No se pueden linkear imágenes desde otro sitio que no sea Wikimedia Commons. De todas formas, que estén subidas a Commons no significa que tengan que aparecer todas en el artículo de Wikipedia, de hecho no es recomendable, deben aparecer las imágenes justas respecto al tamaño del artículo (no pueden sobreponerse las imágenes al texto, puesto que las primeras apoyan al segundo y no al revés). Hay una forma de enlazar en el artículo de Wikipedia la galería de la categoría en Commons; ya me encargo yo.

Por último, tiene que volver a subir las imágenes eliminadas, no se recuperan solas a no ser que se solicite su recuperación, lo cual es bastante más engorroso.
