Welcome to Wikimedia Commons, Malahat nacafova!

You may FIRST read the answer there befor simply creating a new account and uploading the stuff again. Most of your uploads are plain text and out of our scope, for other images it is questionable if you have the necessary rights to license the content. --Martin H. Tempoary blocked edit

I blocked you for a short time. Example: File:MalahatSlide13.JPG - that file

  • is out of our projects scope. If you created the photographs yourself you can upload the photos here, but not the text. To publish books you may go to Wiki Books but not here.
  • the file incoroprates three copyrighted works: Text and two photographs. I suspect that you dont own the copyright of all this three works, you only named yourself as the sole author and owner of the complete work, that appears incorrect. So you dont have the necessary rights to publish the content under a free licene here allowing everyone to reuse it for every purpose including commercial use.

Im interested in having the problem resolved to lift the temporary block asap. I appreciate your answer on the above 2 problems. --Martin H. (talk) 16:56, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ps.: See File:MalahatconaruniverbakuazSlide2.JPG, the photographs even bear a watermark, so they where taken from somewhere and someone else, you cant describe this photographs as your own work and declar the whole thing freely licensed and free to reuse by everyone. Your licensing allows other to simply extract the images and use them with attribution to you - thats not correct. --Martin H. (talk) 17:00, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions. Your image or other content was recently deleted, or will soon be deleted, in accordance with our process and policies, because it was not, or is not, within our scope. Please review our project scope, but in short, Commons is targeted at educational media files including photographs, diagrams, animations, music, spoken text and video clips. The expression “educational” is to be understood according to its broad meaning of “providing knowledge; instructional or informative”. Wikimedia Commons does not contain text articles like encyclopedia articles, textbooks, news, word definitions and such. Each of these other kinds of content have their own projects: Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikinews, Wiktionary and Wikiquote. If the content seems to fit the scope of one of those other projects, please consider contributing it there. Otherwise, consider an alternative outlet. If you think that the deletion was in error because the contribution really was in scope, you can appeal it at Commons:Undeletion requests, giving a reason why it fits our scope to help others evaluate the matter. Thank you for your understanding.

In absence of an response:

  • Commons is not a place to publish plain text like your text slides.
  • Commons is not a place where you can upload photographs you likely not created yourself our you not own the required copyrights or licensing. Commons only accepts freely licensed images, a free license allows everyone to reuse the image for every purpose including commercial or money making purposes. I noted some images above that include images you clearly not created yourself, also other uploads incorporate photographs without any reference to the source, the photographer and the copyright status of the photo.

You may upload images here you own the required copyrights to license them freely, see Commons:Licensing, and you may publish your text on projects like wikibooks or wikiversity. This is not the place to do this. --Martin H. (talk) 10:59, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
