I see that you deleted my image, The Button.JPG. I had never heard of freedom of panorma before today, and certainly was not intentionally violating copyright. No matter what the reason, I still expect you to post comments on uploading users' talk pages when deleting images that were uploaded with good intentions, rather than simply have them quietly vanish as in this case. Thank you for the help. The button for resizing page will change the page size but it will resize the marked image too. accidental Anna Wintour image deletion

I see you deleted the Anna Wintour photo. If you look at the source page, the licensing below the photo reflects my successful effort to persuade the photographer to change it to something we could use. I don't know why the tags at the side haven't changed.

There is no fragment to add, that was the whole email from her. Unless, you want me to add my whole email explaining GNU, etc. (which would be about a page), but I thought that was why the emails were compiled and sent to permissions@wikimedia.org? Basically, this photo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Gilberto_against_Villa.jpg was deleted from Commons. It is from Flickr at this page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jaimeramirez/219827260/. The author, Jaime Ramirez, has released the image under the CC Sharealike 2.0 license. I sent his message granting release of the image to the Commons email address, but still a lot of people say the image is not allowed on WP. Just wondering if you can advise me on how to get the image to stay on Wikipedia for longer than a day! :-)

I have a serious complain about your behaviour as an administrator. The image had the licence, furthermore it was explicit that it was made by me in two languages, then the source is clear!, You didn´t even answer what could I do to improve that "missing source information", and now the image is deleted, I suppose by yourself or some automatic bot. This is not clear at all. The image was tagged and deleted incorrectly, and I would like an explanation.

Dear MesserWoland,

I read and study the copyright rules on Wikipedia. I am the administrative manager of Cedip. I put Cedip logo on the page CEDIP as a lot of trademark logo on wiki. I read that logo are allowed since decision in last December.

Please explain me why you delete this image. I write three time that this image was put online by Cedip office, author and owner of the image. I 'm not very used to publish on wikipedia. If I made a mistake please explain me but don't delete it without explanation. Thank you

Why was "Whigjournal.jpg" deleted without discussion? If it was missing a category, shouldn't a tag have been added? Shouldn't it have been mentioned on the talk page of the user who uploaded it (me) first, or even the talk page of the image itself? I even had started a minor discussion on that talk page. Hi! You deleted the pictures of Pierre Salinger and Ted Kulongoski from commons. They are both in the public domain; Salinger's picture from the Biographical Directory of the United States Congress and Kulongoski's picture with the permission of his office (both well established if you check out the pictures in the English-language wikipedia). Now I didn't put them to commons, I just took well-established public domain pictures from commons to the Swedish-language wikipedia. Now they are gone from there, even though the original pictures are still in the English-language wikipedia, even if both pictures have such copyrights that they are free to be distributed in other languages as well. Could you get those pictures back to commons? After all, they both have the data there, the person who first had loaded them just apparently hadn't filled in everything. I noticed that you were going through the uploads by User:Rafa nog and deleted most of them. I have two questions: 1) what's the proper thing to do for non-admins when encountering such a user? Warning them, informing COM:AN/U, tagging the images with {{Copyvio}}? – And 2) what about the remaining four pictures? In all likelyhood, they are copyvios, too. You deleted the Image for the reason that it is under copyright. Can you tell me who has the copyright on this file??? As you may don't know, it is used in nearly whole Europe and no one can really claim that it belongs to him. It's the same as if there would be a copyright on the EU-flag. I accidently uploaded two copies of the same image under the names Image:165.jpg and Image:Decameron-noble meal.jpg, but then tagged 165.jpg for deletion as a duplicate. Unfortunately, you deleted both of them. Could you please restore Decameron-noble meal.jpg?

Picture can be deleted

I made a mistake. I wanted to overwrite a picture for the same picture with added shadow, but something went wrong in the name CottusGobioSpreadingFins.JPG.JPG. Please delete this one.Viridiflavus 18:40, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

I most definitely have not done any such thing. Every image I've uploaded today is legitimately licensed. These were images on EN, where I've contacted the copyright holders and asked them to authorize a CC-by-SA 2.5 license instead. I received emails today, so I'm moving the images to Commons, and forwarding the authorization emails to permissions. And if you'd take the time to actually read the descriptions that I put in when I uploaded, I even said "Email on its way to permissions," just as I have done for many other images on the Commons. Please undelete both images, and retract your threat on my talkpage, thank you. --Elonka 20:14, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, putting the warning on the image description page only five minutes after upload of this image was a bit fast in my opinion. I was just filling Template:Information and looking for appropriate categories. I would appreciate, if you could grant a few minutes for the uploader to tag the image. Mapy Olsztyna

Mógłbyś mi napisać co mam zrobić z tymi mapami? Nie mam teraz za wiele czasu, ale szkoda by było jakby zostały usunięte. Oryginał mapy stanowi załącznik to statutu miasta Olsztyna. Z tego co wiem akty prawne nie są objęte prawami autorskimi. Ktoś (już nie pamiętam kto) stworzył na jej podstawie mapę w formacie svg, a ja, bazując na niej, zrobiłem mapy z zaznaczonymi osiedlami. W takim razie autorów jest kilku (osoba, która stworzyła mapę na potrzeby statutu miasta, ktoś kto ją zamienił na svg i ja), a co do źródła to jest nim albo statut albo mapa na której ja bazowałem. Faktycznie, trochę się pogubiłem. Ktoś inny zrobił pierwszą wersję tej mapy w svg, ale Ty zrobiłeś mapę, na której bazowałem. Mógłbyś jeszcze zobaczyć czy taka informacja jaką umieściłem tu: Image:Olsztyn-zatorze.svg, jest dobra? U.m.i.x 11:03, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
