Escudo de Porvenir edit
Hi! I will try to do my best... I don't have much time free but I will try. Just for curiosity... why the interest in this particular coat? --B1mbo (talk) 00:15, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
- Done! Look at File:Escudo de Porvenir.svg. Bye, B1mbo (talk) 02:20, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
- Great... let me answer your questions. It's difficult to define pueblo. According to the National Institute of Statistics, a pueblo is a town with less than 3,000 people. I think aldea is a better translation for village and I imagine a place with less than 200, something really small.
- The comuna is the lowest level of administration. Communes are divided in districts but just for census statistics. Technically, a comuna and a city/town/village are different (a comuna usually has a main city/town and a lot of villages inside for example)... for example, the comuna of Natales includes Puerto Natales and Puerto Edén, and the other way around, Santiago de Chile is composed by 32 comunas.
- In the Spanish Wikipedia we have a discussion about having separate articles for the comuna and its capital (which almost 90% of the time has the same name than the comuna). But also we have more information than the German or English wikipedia. In a lot of cases, I don't see relevant for example creating two different articles for Porvenir (comuna) and Porvenir (town), because almost 99% of the information about the first will be the same than the city. Just in a few cases the difference is justified, unless you have sufficient information to have both. My recommendation: for the moment, have the same article for the city and the town. --B1mbo (talk) 15:24, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Tip: Categorizing images edit
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 11:17, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

speedy deletion? edit
Re:
- File:BKS Lechia Gdansk 2005 ubt 08.jpeg
- File:BKS Lechia Gdansk 2005 ubt 081.jpeg
- what "copyright violation" are you talking about? It's the coat of arms of Gdańsk. It does not quality as speedy deletion; if you believe it needs to be removed, please file a deletion request and justify your point. tsca (talk) 16:00, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Why speedy deletion for File:600px Rosso Bianco e Blu con G e martelli.png? It is the coat of arms of Górnik Zabrze. --ThePolish 21:51, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
