Welcome and thanks for the photos edit

Welcome to Wikimedia Commons. Thank you for the nice photos of Utah County RHPs. Thanks to you, the list on Wikipedia is now over 50% illustrated. Keep 'em coming! Ntsimp (talk) 16:31, 20 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. I've also noted and appreciated your contributions. I am not in the Utah County area myself, but (as same-named user doncram over in wikipedia) i have recently been developing text of articles indexed from w:National Register of Historic Places listings in Utah County, Utah. Are all the photos your own, though, or do you otherwise have copyright permission to upload them? Someone noticed that a Park School pic at ( File:Park School, Omaha.jpg ) which you uploaded seems to be a photo owned by the Nebraska State Historical Society, thumbnail available within this Douglas county, Nebraska State Historical Society page. In general we cannot take photos from other places on the internet, unless we are sure they are public domain. If it was actually your own personal photo there, you might have copyright ownership though. If not, we have to ask for it to be removed. Can you comment? I am thinking you/we need to identify any others like that one to address.
Again, in general, I am very glad you have been contributing photos. Thanks! :) --Doncram (talk) 14:02, 22 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
P.S. w:John Dixon House is one Utah County wikipedia article that is very much enriched by addition of your photos. The pics are worth a thousand words, for sure, in showing that the house is an unusual example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture. Unusual for houses anywhere, as the style usually appears in libraries and city halls and other public buildings. Thanks. --Doncram (talk) 15:38, 22 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have tagged File:Park School, Omaha.jpg for deletion. It is not up to us to host a possibly copyrighted image while Modanco and the Nebraska State Historical Society argue ownership. Once ownership is worked out it can be re-uploaded, or not if NSHS owns it and enforces their fee-based use policy. Thundersnow (talk) 20:14, 22 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Spanish Fork Fire Station edit

Hi again. Hey, i went to use your pic of the Spanish Fork Fire Station at new wikipedia article w:Spanish Fork Fire Station and immediately wondered what was historical about that not-very-old-looking building. It turns out indications are that the historic fire station building that was NRHP-listed seems to have been demolished.  :( It still helps to have photos documenting the absence/demolition of a NRHP building. Can you possibly here, or better at the Talk page of the article, i.e. at w:Talk:Spanish Fork Fire Station confirm that the pics you took were at 365 N. Main St., the historic location? Either way we can still use the pic. Thank you for contributing! --Doncram (talk) 15:35, 22 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
