please use the full url at flickr.com edit
Your uploads failed as you were using flic.kr urls (blacklisted) rather than flickr.com (accepted), so if you make that change they should work. Would you mind telling me how you were uploading them, via the local upload wizard, or by external tool, eg. flickr to commons at toollabs? Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:39, 18 February 2017 (UTC) (please {{Ping}} me when you reply.
- Hi @Billinghurst: , thanks for your help! I used the local upload wizard. Just out of curiosity, why would you ask? Mtmlan84 (talk) 07:56, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
- When using the upload wizard it should have issued you with a warning about the use of flic.kr url and it being on the blacklist. So I am wondering whether you noticed it, and if you did, then how we could make the message more helpful (as you didn't correct url and continue the upload). — billinghurst sDrewth 10:23, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi @Billinghurst: , thanks for claryfing! I did notice the warning, but since there was no URL in the fiels I was filling out at the moment (about title, photographer etc.), I did not really no what to think about the warning. It was later that I figured out it might be the flickr link, and I continued using the correct URL. It would be helpful if I had received the warning a field earlier (were I was actually filling out the URL in the source field), because that makes more sense for me as a user. Hope that helps!
