Yi Jianlian photo
editIs there some reason you don't want the large version of Image:YiJianlianonoffense.jpg on Commons? howcheng {chat} 21:54, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- No, no, it was just a mistake, actually. I originally couldn't download the original-sized image of Flickr, for some reason, so I downloaded a smaller thumbnailed version of it. However, thanks for uploading the original size. Noble Story 00:21, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- FYI, you can upload images directly from Flickr to Commons with http://tools.wikimedia.org/~bryan/flickr/upload. It'll copy the full-sized image as well as the license information from Flickr. --Ytoyoda 12:18, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I have seen you have re-uploaded that picture, which does not have a valid license for Commons. since you claim you have permission, I have only tagged it as "not valid license", but not as {{copyvio}}
untill you clarify which kind of permission you have and how can it be verified.
Please, contact me in my discussion page. thank you.-- Fernando Estel ☆ · 星 (Talk: here- es- en) 07:46, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for answering so quickly. I suppose he understands the licenses used at Commons, since the picture uses an incompatible one (cc-by-nc-nd) and at this moment there is no license template at the description page. In case he doesn't want to change the license at flickr, he should send a message to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org to be verified.-- Fernando Estel ☆ · 星 (Talk: here- es- en) 16:52, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure I correctly processed the emails you sent to us. If you don't mind, could you please send this one once more? Thanks. howcheng {chat} 17:01, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Never mind, I just found it in the queue and took care of it. howcheng {chat} 19:37, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Here I am again. I have seen you have uploaded another picture from Flickr with an all rights reserved copyright. Since you obtained an OTRS permission with the above image, I am marking it just with an "review not passed", and wait for the permission. Thank you. Fernando Estel ☆ · 星 commons es 15:21, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- As it is, I uploaded it with a better title, so I got deleted as a duplicate anyway. And just so you know, I do know the different copyrights and what they mean. And I do get permission for every image that is not mine that I upload, AND forward the permission to the right place. However, there seems to be a backlog in updating the permission, which is why some do not have an official permission yet. Noble Story 02:39, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

This image was uploaded to Flickr as "all rights reserved", which is not an appropriate licence for the Wikimedia commons. -mattbuck (Talk) 14:04, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi, glad to see this one worked out. What you might do is to use the tag {{OTRS-pending}} when you are awaiting permission. It should allow you a short time to lodge the OTRS permission and avoid the image being deleted immediately. Regards, --MichaelMaggs 06:07, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll remember that. Noble Story 03:47, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Keith Allison photostream
editHi,
great idea - thanks for pointing me to that. I also thought that maybe we could add a separate category to keep Keith's photos together, however, I haven't yet investigated wiki commons policies on creating such type of categories. What do you think ? Wmigda (talk) 19:42, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
