Thanks for uploading File:Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Autopatrol given edit

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. INeverCry 03:48, 25 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Category:Private aircraft edit

I would be much obliged if you could define what belongs in the Category:Private aircraft. Without such definition, and looking at the pictures you've added so far to this category, I get quite confused. Is this an aircraft size category? Does this category define ownership (private vs. public), and if that is the case, where do you find that information? Thank you, Oyoyoy (talk) 04:45, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

The Category Private aircraft is any individual aircraft owned by a person (IE John Travolta's 707).
It is customary to continue a conversation where it started :-). Thank you for your reply, and I ask again: How do you know? Take for example: File:Boeing 737-2M8-Adv AN0197439.jpg, who is the person that owned that aircraft in 1993? Or File:747SP (3764181795) (2).jpg. How do know if this aircraft is owned by Mr. Adelson, or by a limited company? Oyoyoy (talk) 18:24, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
The first aircraft upon further inspection isn't a privately owned aircraft and has been removed. As for the second one, it is in the livery that all of Mr. Adelson's aircraft are painted in. O484 6:32, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
So what? Have you any reliable information source to the ownership of that aircraft? My impression for now is that 90%, or more, of the files were included in this category based on a pure guess and not on any factual evidence. If that is the case, this category is more harmful than efficient, because it contains unsubstantiated information. Oyoyoy (talk) 18:40, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
This is my source for the 747 http://www.nevadashooters.com/showthread.php?p=250035 O484 6:45, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
Just a few more examples from a quick check: Category:N787WH (aircraft), Category:N789LS (aircraft), Category:N813TL (aircraft), Category:N836BA (aircraft), Category:N950PB (aircraft) are all owned by companies or the US Gov. I suggest that before continuing, ask yourself if you can categorize to this category to any degree of reliablity. Oyoyoy (talk) 18:56, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
An open forum is certainly not a reliable source of information about the ownership of an aircraft. Oyoyoy (talk) 18:58, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
VQ-BMS is owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, and is used to shuttle high-roller gamblers from around the world to the Corporation's Las Vegas and Macau/Singapore casinos. Whilst Adelson is connected with the Las Vegas Sands, it does not make sense for it to be in private ownership (as in individual) due to the tax implications -- this is why it is registered in one of the aviation flag of convenience nations. Hope this helps. russavia (talk) 19:08, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
My conclusion for now is that this category may do more harm than good to the accuracy of the information on aircraft. Here are a few more errors: Category:N287KB (aircraft), Category:N493AG (aircraft) (Wells Fargo Bank...), Category:OE-ILX (aircraft). Oyoyoy (talk) 19:13, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
I agree. Executive aircraft or business aircraft might be better for such things. The Wells Fargo Bank is a good example for opining against such categories. russavia (talk) 22:31, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
O484, may I assume that you agree with the bottom line? Oyoyoy (talk) 15:47, 22 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I do. O484 8:38, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
If that is the case, why do you keep adding images to this category?Oyoyoy (talk) 09:11, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've been using http://www.airframes.org/ as a guide for ownership. O484 11:15, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
