Image Tagging Image:Citroen SM rally.jpg edit
Thanks for uploading Image:Citroen SM rally.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Hi Anna - This photo has same status as Wikipedia photos Peu406.jpg, Peu604.jpg, SClassLine.jpg among others:
Promo image released by the manufacturer. This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit. The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide source information as evidence of ownership. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of promotional material to illustrate the work or product in question; in the absence of free images that could serve such a purpose; on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Copyrights for more information. To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information. File history Legend: (cur) = this is the current file, (del) = delete this old version, (rev) = revert to this old version. Click on date to download the file or see the image uploaded on that date. In the case of Citroen SM rally.jpg, Wikipedia users would never be able to see special factory prepared 1971 rally car via "own photo" upload mechanism. Sorry - I'm a bit new to the different types of photo copyrights - want to do the right thing, but without losing bits of history. PLawrence99cx 17:35, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Re:SM edit
- Hello PLawrence, the English wikipedia and some others admit en:Fair use as a valid license, option that does not apply to Commons where only free images are allowed, you can read about it here Commons:Licensing. Those images therefore, must be marked as fair use and deleted, but you can upload them to en:wiki. Regards. Anna 23:05, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Images without a source edit
The following images need a clear source to be allowed in Commons. Thank you. Anna 01:37, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:Mylordopera.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

Image Tagging Image:1966 Citroen DS.jpg edit
Thanks for uploading Image:1966 Citroen DS.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans were on the Grey Market? edit
I saw that you've tagged this image from Glen Street LIRR station the category Category:Grey market automobiles. I know a lot of Mercedes-Benz cars weren't sold to the common consumer, but I didn't think these were on the grey market. ----DanTD (talk) 21:20, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
