Recategorising to "Lighthouses of the New Jersey"

You seem to have recategorised my images to a non-existent category, and I'd also prefer that such a category be "Lighthouses in New Jersey" rather than "Lighthouses in the New Jersey". Postcard cats

I haven't either. Maybe someone decided "old" was redundant since we're only putting up ones in the public domain, which would of necessity be old. Let me know what you find out, if anything. Daniel Case 04:14, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Postcard scans

Hello, I have noticed your image LosAngelesPanorama2007.jpg. In the image discription, you say it is a scanned postcard. I am unsure about U.S. copyright laws, but are you sure that re-publishing a (commercially produced?) postcard does not constitute a copyright violation? When I view the image page, the description says "panorama of los angeles", and the source says "own work". I took the pictures and stitched them together. It was not from a postcard. Parkerdr (talk) 01:21, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

That's strange. If I was mistaken, I apologize. However, I see this on the description page for the current version:

That's in the "history" section for the image, and I did upload a new version of the image, but when I did, I didn't have form to fill in the description, source, etc. It must have gotton that from a previous upload. If you look at the history of the text on the page, you don't see any mention of scanned post card... Parkerdr (talk) 12:32, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Use of your picture in Businessweek

An image which you uploaded to Wikimedia Commons of the Montana State Capitol was recently used by the magazine Bloomberg Businessweek in an article entitled 'Best Places to Raise Your Kids'. The image appeared without attribution and did not mention that it may be reproduced under a Creative Commons license. I thought it would be helpful to notify you of this fact.
