Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Thanks for your recently uploaded paintings from the Hermitage

Thank you very much for your recently uploaded high resolution images from the Hermitage. These are great to have on Commons. Please include the Wikidata item in the template or at least the inventory number to make matching easier. Thanks in advance, Jane023 (talk) 13:04, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Please do not overwrite files

I noticed that you uploaded a file using the name File:Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn 020.jpg. A file by this name already existed on Commons. Overwriting an existing file should not be done except when making minor, uncontroversial corrections, so the file has been restored to its previous version. If the file that you attempted to upload is within our project scope and is in the public domain or published under a free license, please upload it again under a different name. Thank you. Please just don't overwrite images of paintings even if you think it's the same. Just upload it under a new filename. Multichill (talk) 13:47, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
