Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2014 - Wiki4Alps edition

WLM CH (Deutsch) Liebe/r Teilnehmer/in des Wettbewerbs Wiki Loves Monuments CH 2013, Die Ausgabe 2014 des Wettbewerbs Wiki Loves Monuments hat Montag 8 September begonnen. Dieses Jahr fokussiert sich der Schweizer Wettbewerb auf die Region der Alpen. Die vergangenen Wettbewerbe haben ermöglicht, dass mehrere tausend Fotos von Schweizer Denkmälern gesammelt werden konnten. Dank euch hat es auf Wikimedia Commons Bilder von zahlreichen Denkmälern. Jedoch haben wir festgestellt, dass die Denkmäler, welche sich in den alpinen Regionen befinden, dabei nur sehr gering vertreten sind. Aus diesem Grund fokussiert sich der diesjährige Wettbewerb spezifisch auf die Alpen, um auch diesen Lebensraum auf Wikimedia Commons besser dokumentiert vorzufinden. Denkt daran: Hochgeladen werden können die Bilder vom 8.September bis und mit dem 8.Oktober 2014. Um am Wettbewerb teilzunehmen, könnt ihr jedoch auch Bilder hochladen, die ihr zu einem beliebigen Zeitpunkt gemacht habt. Die Fotos müssen nicht während der Wettbewerbszeit entstanden sein. Wikimedia CH organisiert mehrere Wikiexpeditions während dieser Wettbewerbs-Zeit, um Fotos von Denkmälern zu machen, die nur sehr spärlich auf Commons dokumentiert sind. Schweizer Wappen

Hallo Taktaal,

es freut mich zu sehen, dass ich derzeit nicht der einzige bin, der sich den Schweizer Wappen annimmt und auch diese gruseligen "3D-Wappen" angeht.

Allerdings frag ich mich, warum du alle Wappen einheitlich in dieser "halbschrägen" Zürcher(?) Schildform erstellst. So wie ich das seh, scheint z.B. in St. Gallen eher ein normaler, gerader Schild üblich. Ebenso Solothurn. Im Waadtland wiederum ist ein spitzzulaufender Schild üblich, wie ich gestern und heute festgestellt hab. Wieso also gerade der von dir verwendete Schild, der - soweit ich das seh - eher typisch Zürich ist?

Hinter der Schildform stehen nicht viele Überlegungen dahinter. Mir ging es hauptsächlich darum, die verpixelten Wappen zu ersetzen. Ich habe im Thurgau angefangen, und weder da, noch in St. Gallen noch in Solothurn hatte es andere SVG-Wappen, also habe ich eine Vorlage aus dem Kanton Zürich genommen. Vielleicht passt es im Thurgau noch eher, da ja da wegen des Kyburg-Erbes noch ein grösserer Zürcher Einfluss ist. Wenn du dich mit den heraldischen Gebräuchen in diesen Kantonen auskennst habe ich absolut nichts dagegen wenn du die Form anpasst. --Taktaal (talk) 11:40, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

Hallo @Taktaal: Ich habe die Wappen der beiden Walliser Gemeinden Finhaut und Naters so umgearbeitet, dass die Schildform der aktuellen amtlichen Fassung entspricht, inklusive Quellenangabe. Ebenfalls habe ich die Blasonierung und ihre Quelle hinzugefügt.

Bitte schau doch mal beim Projekt Wappen der deutschen Wikipedia vorbei -- wir haben dort gerade eine Diskussion über "3D"-Glanzeffekte, Schildformen und Dateinamen von schweizer Wappen! ARK (talk) 09:15, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

COM CROP

Totally changing the style of a Coat of arms like you are doing IS A CONTROVERSIAL EDIT. These files have been untouched for about 10 years, which means they were consensual and widely used outside wikipedia. If you change the file, you change the author/attribution/license. PLease stop doing so and upload your files separately, as required by official guidelines. Ptahland (talk) 13:11, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

The author/attribution/license isn't an issue. If you make a new revision to a file, you agree to publish the new version under the same license as the old one. Minor edits such as these allowed for a new revision also don't hit the threshold of originality, where the author would even have the rights to put his name on it. And again, these "official guidelines" you are quoting are nowhere near as clear on your side as you think they are. Minor fixes to files are absolutely allowed and encouraged. Otherwise there wouldn't be a "upload new version" functionality after all. By your reverts you are even re-introducing factual errors. Like on File:Armoiries Savoie-Carignan 1630.svg Brigante mandrogno fixed the issue that the top left corner of the blazon should have 10 stripes of black and gold instead of 12, and you reverted that edit back to the old erroneous version. --Taktaal (talk) 13:39, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

Swiss cantonal map

are basically the same svg map showing the same border between cantons, I think. After comparing it with Google Maps I fail to see where the problem is with the "western part of the border between Vaud and Valais", the western part of the border between Vaud and Valais is actually the Rhône, and the svg map looks correct to me. --Tomchen1989 (talk) 01:56, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Dear uploader of Wiki Loves Earth in Switzerland and Wiki Loves Monuments in Switzerland, we would like to remind you that Wiki Science Competition 2021 has started in the whole world. It is now open in your country until December, 15th.

If you want to take part in WSC2021, please consult this page. There are different categories that can be used (you might therefore have something already interesting in your archive). Prizes can be allocated for the 1st and 2nd positions in every category.

If you are an expert user, we remind you that the images uploaded within the deadline can be included in any case in their national category even if not uploaded with the main interface by simply adding the national category.

If you take part, please consider improving the description in English of your files, since such description is what the international jury will use to evaluate them at the following step. World finalists will be finalized after March 2022.
