Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hallo Saibo, ich blicke gerade im Lizenzdschungel nicht durch. Ich erkläre dir mal wie die Karte zustande kam, dann kannst du mir vielleicht einen Tipp geben was für eine Lizenz ich verwenden soll: Das einzige Bildelement das ich von den Quellen in der Karte verwende ist der Reliefhintergrund von maps-for-free.com, ohne Layer und anderen Einblendungen. OSM und die Karte Karte einzugsbereich ohne hydrol Grenzen.png benützte ich nur als Hilfsmittel, um mir einen Überblick zu verschaffen und die Positionen einzelner Elemente zu bestimmen. Das Einzugsgebiet, die Positionen und die Flussverläufe überarbeitete ich nochmals komplett selbst. Gezeichnet ist (bis auf das Relief und die kleinen Flaggen) jedes Element von mir, dass ich auch notfalls beweisen könnte. Wie soll ich vorgehen?

Hallo TomGonzales, danke für deine Erklärungen. Ja, der Dschungel ist nicht einfach. Wenn man fremde Werke nutzt, dann sollte man ihn aber verstehen - sonst verletzt man eventuell das Urheberrecht. Evtl. muss man sich eben Hilfe holen oder auf fremde Werke verzichten.

Okay, also: Erstmal generell: Durch eine Bearbeitung (Verwendung fremder Werke) musst du - je nach Umfang deiner Bearbeitung bzw. Anteil des fremden Werkes an deinem - das Urheberrecht des Originalurhebers entweder gar nicht (freie Benutzung, geringe Schöpfungshöhe) oder komplett (Bearbeitung, Kopie) beachten.

Wenn du OSM und die Karte Karte einzugsbereich ohne hydrol Grenzen.png nur dir angeschaut hast, aber nicht "abgepaust" bzw kopiert hast, dann dürfte das eine freie Verwendung sein und die Lizenz dieser beiden Werke damit egal sein (besonders gut kenne ich mich aber bei Karten nicht aus). Netterweise bzw. aus dokumentatorischer Sorgfalt sollte man sie natürlich trotzdem angeben.

"labeling layer" oder "contour layer" von mapsforfree hast du nicht verwendet, richtig? Der Reliefhintergrund von maps-for-free.com ist GFDL 1.2+. Nur unter dieser Lizenz darf das Bild dann auch hier stehen, da der Reliefhintergrund ja schon ein Hauptbestandteil deiner Karte ist und es damit sicher keiner freie Benutzung ist.

Flaggen und Legende sind entweder eh gemeinfrei oder haben keine Schöpfungshöhe.

Wenn das alles so korrekt ist, dann kann ich die Dateiseite mal so umbasteln, dass es passt.

Was du nicht machen könntest, ist eine GFDL1.2-Karte mit einer CC-by-sa-3.0-Karte zu kombinieren. Beide Lizenzen sind zueinander nicht kompatibel, weil sie beide fordern, dass Bearbeitungen wieder jeweils unter der gleichen Lizenz stehen. Unter beidem (GFDL1.2+Cc-by-sa-3.0) lizenzieren könntest du das Ergebnis auch nicht, denn jeweils eine Lizenz würde ja nicht für eine der beiden Quellkarten zutreffen. Das Problem ist hier erklärt: Commons:Collages (leider aktuell nur auf Englisch). Diese nervige Problematik (ich ich selbst schon bei meinen eigenen Bearbeitungen spüren musste) ist übrigens ein Grund für mich meine Bilder hier meist CC-0 (gemeinfrei) oder CC-by hochzuladen. Mit gemeinfreien Werken hat man nämlich solche Probleme gar nicht.

Danke erstmal für deine ausführlichen Erklärungen. Da bin ich wohl ein wenig blauäugig in die Sache gegangen und werde mich jetzt erstmal schlau machen, was möglich ist, und was nicht. OSM und die Einzugskarte wurden nicht abgepaust, und es wurden keine Elemente davon verwendet. Ich habe sie nur, wie du oben schon geschrieben hast aus dokumentarischer Sorgfalt erwähnt. Wenn du magst, kannst du die Datei umbasteln, und ich bin wieder ein wenig schlauer.

Eine Frage hätte ich noch zur allgemeinen Problematik: Es ist doch richtig, dass ich eine Collage aus Quellen mit GFDL UND CC Lizenzen nicht möglich ist. Das bedeutent, dass Karten die mit maps-for-free.com (GFDL 1.2+) und OSM (CC BY SA 2.0) erstellt werden keine gültige Lizenz besitzen und deswegen unbrauchbar sind. Oder?

Ja, nur GFDL UND nur CC-by-sa ist nicht möglich zu kombinieren - "For instance, you cannot take a image only licensed under the GFDL and combine it with a CC-BY-SA only image, since the viral copyleft requirements conflict with eachother. In order to be legal, at least one of the images must be licensed under both licenses, so the resulting collage is only licensed under the common license." Commons:Collages. Also eben beispielsweise dein Beispiel mit MFF und OSM. So wie File:Verlaufskarte Inn DE.png wenn ich es recht sehe. :-(

Hypothetisch: Wenn ein externes GFDL1.3-Bild (also auch 1.2+) vor dem 1. November 2008 hier hochgeladen wurde, dann gilt allerdings auch zusätzlich zur GFDL die CC-by-sa-3.0 (siehe Commons:License_Migration_Task_Force/Migration/de). Das könnte also etwa für frühe Uploads von Maps for free-Karten gelten (wenn es die Website schon so lange gibt). Bei OSM + MFF-Karten würde dann jenes gehen: cc-by-sa-2.0 + cc-by-sa-3.0 = cc-by-sa-3.0. Denn laut Commons:Collages ist seit Version 2 die Kombination mit neueren Lizenzversionen möglich. Ich habe es auch im cc-by-sa 2.0 Lizenztext gefunden: Abschnitt 4b ("later version").

Ich habe die Beschreibung überarbeitet - ich denke, es ist so in Ordnung (die Usprungsversion der Legende dürfte wohl nicht schutzfähig sein, sodass die Lizenz egal ist). Danke für die Überarbeitung. Die File:Verlaufskarte Inn DE.png-Karte wurde nicht mit MFF, sondern mit Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) und dem SRTM3 V2 Datensatz erstellt. Mit diesen Datensatz erstellte Karten sind gemeinfrei siehe: de:Hilfe:GMT#Lizenz. Ich werde in Zukunft auch dieses Tool bei der Kartenerstellung verwenden, auch wenn der Arbeitsaufwand dadurch schon enorm größer wird. Aber egal, dann bin ich Lizenzmäßig auf der sicheren Seite. Ach.. klar - ich muss wohl GMT mit GFDL verwechselt haben. Sorry. Du meinst du wirst MFF meiden? Ja, die GFDL ist halt bei vielen CC-by-sa-Bildern unpraktisch... Wenn du magst könntest du ja mal den Autor deer MFF-Karte anschreiben und ihn auf das Problem hinweisen und eine Multilizenzierung vorschlagen. Gerade weil bei solch Karten sehr viel Arbeit in einer Karte steckt, ist es wichtig auf die Lizenzierung zu achten - sonst ist am Ende alles umsonst.

Was technisches: Wenn du die Karte im xcf-Format speichern könntest, könntest du sie auch hier hochladen - wie du ja sicher weißt, ist ein NAchbearbeiten ohne die Quelldatei (nur mit der png) fast unmöglich. Viele Grüße --Saibo (Δ) 00:24, 21 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
