Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Your account will be renamed

Hello,

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Tony1212. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Tony1212~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.

Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.

Username modified

Please note, my username (previously Tony1212) has been modified to Tony_1212 as of March 2016 at the request of Wikipedia (clash with another Tony1212 somewhere else in wikiworld apparently). It appears that all of my wikipedia edits (from October 2006) have been retrospectively re-assigned to this new username so those are OK, but the old one is attached to some historic images as file uploads to wikimedia commons (in the upload history, which cannot be changed). I have changed the reported authorship of those files to the new username so most things should work (so long as you do not trust the upload histories...). Mike Ring

I'm trying to find a Mike Ring who played guitar in the Four Winds Folk Club in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. If you know how I can get in touch with him please let me know. I think he may be in the photo of the folk festival in Cambridge in 1977. LesleyAL (talk) 20:59, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
