Autopatrol given edit

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. INeverCry 22:01, 31 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Category:Serena_Williams_in_2004 edit

Serena Williams in 2004 has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

You changed the description to "unknown player", stating The player pictured from the back is definitely NOT Tamira Paszek. Well, you are definitely wrong. It is Tamira Paszek. I remember it and I do have pictures from the other side of the room which show her and Ronnie Leitgeb standing there behind her. I don't mind the renaming of the file, because she can hardly be seen, but the way you rewrote the description is simply wrong. --Tsui (talk) 00:38, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for renaming the file. Regarding the question who is on the picture, I disagree with you. Tamira Paszek has much longer (and brown-coloured) hair. Moreover: she was wearing a red jacket at the time, as can be seen here. The person with the short, gray hair and the bluegray jacket could be Ronnie Leitgeb, though. I don't know him, and I won't state that it is him. But, being a long-time tennis editor, I know Tamira Paszek very well, and it does not look like her at all. The renaming was done by Alan. I know what she looked like there. I took these pictures. Could it be that you overlooked Paszek? She is standing in front of Leitgeb, the taller man with grey hair and a dark jacket, whose back is in the foreground of the picture. Paszeks head in front of him, where Fischer is looking, can only be seen partly. Here is another photograph from the same moments when I took mine: [1] (from the gallery on this page [2]) but from the other side. Regards, Tsui (talk) 12:46, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Indeed I overlooked the brown-haired part of a head in front of the person which I already suspected to be Leitgeb. Thank you for showing me the photo taken from the opposite viewpoint. That clarifies the position of the people concerned. Although Paszek was admittedly there, her half head on the photograph does not justify, in my opinion, the inclusion of the picture in her category. Could you agree with taking the category out? Regards, Vinkje83 (talk) 14:03, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
True, she can hardly be seen. But I would prefer to include the picture in the category. It is her and although one has to be told that it is her, it still is a snapshot of a quite unique moment with/for her. Users viting the gallery wont be disturbed by the picture and some might even find it interesting. Regards, Tsui (talk) 14:12, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
