IRC edit

Hi, someone with same nick as your account name came to IRC asking questions about Wikinews. Was this you? Gryllida (talk) 20:44, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Yes. That was me. I gave up after a few hours :-) Wolkenjaeger (talk) 21:55, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Wolkenjaeger, I think Wikinews accreditation would work for what you need. Accredited reporters have used it to gain access to events, such as sport events. You may want to query RockerballAustralia for more information about it, as he does have accreditation and is a great photographer. Look at his contributions (here is a view) to see what a news photo essay looks like.
I would suggest asking at the Wikinews forum (water cooler) about the requirements.
Perhaps you may be expected to write one paragraph of a news for some of the events for which you photographed, especially where the accreditation helped to gain entry, so that at least other volunteers know what/where/when/how/why occurred and they then can finish the story. At least it would be my personal expectation.
I hope this is OK.
Regarding IRC, you may need to stay on IRC for about 12 hours before someone replies. For smaller channels, at least. Some larger channels are busier. :-)
Please let me know how I could help you further. Gryllida (talk) 20:01, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the answer. I will check on the different channels you gave me. Kind regards 37.203.248.161 21:30, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
