There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Hello, YeshuaDavid~commonswiki!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

File:Albino Jara.jpg edit

Is this realy a painting created in 1911? The images on that site are looking very similar, this looks like a painting collection created much later. Can you provide any evidence or proofe for that date? At best an artist/painter. --Martin H. (talk) 22:11, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

p.s.: Also on a painting the painter normaly makes his author sign. I dont belive that the author is unknown. --Martin H. (talk) 22:19, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Hi, no I don't have evidence of its date. I was assuming the paintings were made contemporary to the lifetimes of the presidents to mark their inaugurations, but I have no evidence of that and the site doesn't give any details as to their origin. At the very least, they must be replicas or adaptations of original paintings or photographs that were made. As for signatures, the images are of too low resolution to view that kind of detail. A photographic reproduction is not the problem. Are this images from some gallery? Someone to ask? --Martin H. (talk) 22:26, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
I found the images on this website here. Having a search around though, they are also displayed on this website here and this website here. Not speaking Spanish, its very difficult to find their true origin. YeshuaDavid (talk) 22:30, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
A point to start is of course mre.gob.py, maybe they can help and maybe it worth to ask for a better quality reproduction to better represent the history or the country. --Martin H. (talk) 23:31, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Would you mind contacting them for me? The email provided on the website is sistemas@mre.gov.py. I'm quite new to the Commons and I don't really know the procedure surrounding copyright laws and creative commons and all that, and how you go about representing this site.
