English: The California Aqueduct, built 1963-1973, is a system of canals, tunnels, and pipelines that conveys water collected from the Sierra Nevada (U.S.) and Sacramento Valley in Northern California to the San Joaquin Valley and Southern California. The aqueduct is part of the California State Water Project infrastructure.
