English: St. Peters Cathedral in Bautzen is the oldest and one of the largest Lutheran and Roman Catholic simultaneums in Germany, used by congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dresden-Meissen. Founded as collegiate church it is termed Dom, in German a synecdoche used for cathedrals and collegiate churches alike. The Diocese of Dresden-Meissen used the Dom for its part as cathedral between 1921 and 1980, and uses it as concathedral since.
