SS Cars Limited; Builder of motorcycle sidecars and car bodies, Swallow Sidecar Company, began to make cars bearing their own label in 1932, SS 1 and SS 2. They changed their name to SS Cars in 1934.
Jaguar was used by SS Cars as a model name from 24 September 1935. Their products were given 6-cylinder engines except for their 4-cylinder SS 2 and SS Jaguar 1½ litre cars
