Deutsch: Der Volkspark am Ostring in Kiel-Ellerbek ist als Werftpark von der Kaiserlichen Werft angelegt, der für viele in Gaarden-Ost liegt. 1921 übernahm die Stadt Kiel den Park und Stadtbaurat Willy Hahn und Gartenarchitekt Leberecht Migge gestalteten ihn 1923 um. In der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus wurde der Park in Horst-Wessel-Park umbenannt, 1947 in Volkspark.
English: The Volkspark on the Ostring in the district of Kiel Ellerbek is designed as a Werftpark (shipyard park) by the Imperial Shipyard, which for many people is in district Gaarden-Ost. In 1921, the city of Kiel took over the park and city planning officer Willy Hahn and garden architect Leberecht Migge redesigned it in 1923. During the Nazi era, the park was renamed Horst-Wessel-Park, and in 1947 it was renamed Volkspark.
