Bridge galleries?

edit

@Fb noo, Xnatedawgx, Auntof6, Erik den yngre, Kai3952, and W like wiki: In some languages, the rock sheds and snow sheds are called "galleries".

In my language, the word "gallery" is used also for similar bridge-like structures: bridges running along the contour on a slope or rock, where the inside of the road is adjacent to the terrain or cut into the terrain, while the outside stands on pillars or brackets like a bridge structure - it's something like half-bridge, a bridge with blind spans. In my language, this type is called "mostní galerie" (= literally "bridge gallery") (e.g. here or here) but I did not find any equivalent term in English. The second case is a footbridge on brackets, e.g. along a rock. I tried to seek for terms like "bracket bridge" or "overhang bridge" but they seem to not exist. Could you help to find the right English terms or interwikis in other languages? --ŠJů (talk) 01:45, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
