Rename into "Munich Massacre"

edit

The proposal is apparently to capitalize "massacre". - Jmabel ! talk 15:06, 26 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

  •   Oppose Name is correct en:Munich massacre. --Foroa (talk) 08:33, 10 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Hardly an important change either way, but why differ from en-wiki? - Jmabel ! talk 15:03, 26 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Weakly   Support. The en.wp article was moved in June 2009 from Munich Massacre to Munich massacre with very little discussion or input, and at that time it was pointed out that en.wp was all over the map as to how to capitalize such terms (see, for example, en:Boston Massacre). I don't think en.wp is a very compelling precedent. My instinct would be to capitalize Massacre, since we are talking about a specific event in 1972 that commonly goes by this name and not any massacre that may have occurred in Munich. However, I do appreciate that there may be varied opinions on this. Skeezix1000 (talk) 17:43, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak   Oppose. The suggestion to match the en.wp name is not terribly compelling in this case. However, glancing through sources used in that article, it seems that most of them use "Munich massacre" rather than "Munich Massacre". cmadler (talk) 14:05, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
