Is Category:Rouen, France not redundant with Category:Rouen ? -- Themightyquill (talk) 09:26, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Based on the maps, which are the only content of the first, they are the same. Pinging Geo Swan. – BMacZero (🗩) 17:32, 30 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Themightyquill: Merged into Category:Rouen--A1Cafel (talk) 08:08, 23 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Totorvdr59 - Maybe I've misunderstood. If this category is in Category:Communes de la Métropole Rouen Normandie and Category:Communes in Arrondissement Rouen (both subcategories of ), why would it also belong in Category:Communes in Seine-Maritime? That seems like classic COM:OVERCAT. -- Themightyquill (talk) 10:54, 21 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Rouen, like other towns of France, must be listed among all the towns of Seine-Maritime, at the same rank, whatever they belong to arrondissement or communautés de communes. That's french. That's all.--Totorvdr59 (talk) 12:03, 21 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Totorvdr59. You explanation for why COM:OVERCAT does not apply to Rouen is "because Rouen is French"? -- Themightyquill (talk) 10:19, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Nobody in France seems to care of this. Try to do the same for all the other chefs-lieux of departements of France (Lille, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Quimper, Angoulême, Toulon, ...). I hope there will be a revolution. Rouen, like other towns of France, must be listed among all the towns of its departement (Seine-Maritime).The administrative organization of France doesn't bother with Commons.--Totorvdr59 (talk) 16:58, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
