Happy to discuss. If you mean Ƶ and allographic z with a line through it (most commonly called Category:z with stroke -- also the name used by the Wikipedia page z with stroke -- but examples of which were previously found in Category:Slashed Z) are two different concepts (even if visually identical), I certainly agree with you and haven't made any changes to the contrary. The files in this certainly category represent z with stroke. From what I can ascertain, the term slashed z appears to be used more or less interchangeably with z with stroke. That said, I could see how it would be useful in some settings to used "slashed z" to refer to Ƶ, while leaving "z with stroke" for allographic z, so I wouldn't be opposed to redirecting Category:Slashed Z to Category:Ƶ, while leaving Category:z with stroke, if that solves your quibble. I see. I was unaware that Category:Ƶ is the one harbouring the orthographic "z" with stroke and that your idea was to reuse Category:Z with stroke for the stylistic slashed "z". So, they are still categorized apart, and that’s good.

I would still prefer it the other way around, though: I think it’s better to have the orthographic letter "Ƶ", as distingct from "Z", categorized as "Z with stroke", akin to many other analogous categories about distinct graphemes named "Category:Letter with diacritic" (or at least as redirects), and to use the category named "Category:Slashed Z" for the stylistic variant of "Z", akin to already existing Category:Slashed zero and Category:Slashed seven, which are likewise puryly glyphic variants.

In short: Rename current Category:Z with stroke to Category:Slashed Z, and make it a redirect to Category:Ƶ.
