It has been proposed to move Category:Trail signs to Category:Hiking and footpath signs. Reason: Other category is better-integrated, contains the same types of content. BMacZero (talk) 18:19, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
- As I can see, this category "Trail signs" is used as a parent category for various types of trail signs - footpaths, horse riding paths, cycling routes, ski trails. Although the category names look like similar, the current category structure have its sense and logic. Category:Hiking and footpath signs is used as a special subcategory for pedestrian paths/routes. Maybe, some images from Category:Trail signs should be moved to appropriate subcategories only. --ŠJů (talk) 19:49, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, I think I understand what is going on here. My confusion comes from thinking that "Trail signs" would be a more specific category than "Hiking and footpath signs", as "Trails" are only a specific type of "Footpath". But in this case "footpath" is indicating a "trail" that is for walking as opposed to other modes of transportation. I'll remove the request. BMacZero (talk) 00:15, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
