This image captures the giraffe's demeanor very well, but based on the principle of highlighting the subject of the photo, I think this image can be made better through post-processing of color. WANGYIFAN2024 (talk) 04:26, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your comment. I think that principle doesn't apply in the same way for wild animals. This giraffe was photographed in a dark forest where shutter speed was at 1/250s while still having ISO 2500. In a dark forest with no sun illuminating the subject, the subject shouldn’t be very bright. Moreover, animals usually have patterns, shapes and/or colors on their coats that camouflage them in their natural environment as it is an advantage for them. Also, I think that the giraffe is highlighted enough in other ways like the crop, the bokeh separating the subject from the background, the fact that it's still very visible, etc. Giles Laurent (talk) 10:03, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
