Comment Neue Wache (New Guardhouse) in Berlin-Mitte at night. It was built from 1816 and 1818 according to plans of Karl Friedrich Schinkel and is a leading example of German neoclassical architecture. My "blue hour" picture of the same subject failed unfortunately as FPC so I give this version another try.

Neutral The building isn't very exciting. Looks like a magenta cast, but then the inner, lit areas look green, so possibly a compromise. — Julian H.✈ (talk/files) 15:58, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

- Comment @Colin: Thanks for your vote. I thought this nomination could succeed because it is IMO one of my best pictures. Obviously not good enough for FP, what I will have to accept. The blue-hour-nomination failed IMO because of a lack of sharpness. This new one is quite sharp. I'm sorry that you think the building isn't exciting or spectacular. As I wrote above it is a leading example of German neoclassical architecture and therefore very exciting in my eyes. --Code (talk) 16:46, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
