Comment Incredible resolution! But without having looked at much of this document at full size yet, but before it decided to go black, I saw some chromatic aberration on the northern peninsula. Chromatic aberration is a failure of a lens to focus all colors to the same point (Wikipedia). This is a composite scan of a flat grayscale map. I don't see how there could be "chromatic aberration". Beside this document is 200 years old, so there may be defect due to paper aging, etc. The ZoomViewer is broken, but the elements can be seen in Category:Carte topographique de la Corse, 1824. I don't know why, but this come from the stitching the different elements. I made a grayscale version where this can't be seen: File:Carte topographique de la Corse, 1824 (15503010), grayscale.jpg. Is it better? Yann (talk) 14:32, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
