- Oppose (formerly FPX) Image does not fall within the guidelines, it is well below the minimum size of 2 megapixels -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:23, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Support -- I would actually support this regardless of the low resolution. It's a brilliant capture of a well publicized accident. KennyOMG (talk) 18:13, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Support I too think that this is one of those cases where the photo is unique enough and shows something so well (see its VI status) that a FP is deserved. I've never seen an ejection in this early stage before with the cover close behind in the air. Googling now, there are a few good or better shots of them but still this image is special because 1. of the circumstances and 2. it seems it is the closest perspective we have on Commons and 3. it really shows why someone would want to eject himself from a fighter jet, which you don't get from similar shots higher up in the atmosphere or test setups. Other images of ejections aren't as dramatic in their surroundings. – LucasT 20:56, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Support One of those rare photos that I call "Buzz-Aldrin's-footprint-photos", that is a low-quality photo but other criteria are more important than just quality for an FP.cart-Talk 21:46, 30 January 2017 (UTC)- Info Its is a crop of a FP.--ArildV (talk) 22:17, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Well spotted, thanks for the information! Didn't know an FP of it already existed. Well that rules out my 'support' here and change it to Oppose. --cart-Talk 22:27, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Info the original uncropped image is just shy of 6mp if that helps, though I personally would prefer the current one over it. KennyOMG (talk) 22:23, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Comment Should we turn this into a delist-and-replace-nomination? I'm not important enough here to decide this. I favor the cropped version as well, it has enough context IMO. – LucasT 22:33, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Comment - Maybe so, but I would oppose such a replacement, on the grounds that in my opinion, the current FP has a much better composition. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:51, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for nominating this image. Unfortunately, it does not fall within the Guidelines and is unlikely to succeed for the following reason: it is already featured as File:F16 Idaho airshow.jpg. As both versions cannot be featured, start a delist and replace if you want to feature this version instead.
