Thanks for the constructive review, Красный. I agree that without the small plant, it would be a classical composition with conformity. Keeping it as an intrusive object was intentional because it matches the green paint residue from the previous coat as well as the other tiny plants on the left. It is cropped because the wall actually ends at the right edge of the image. Also, because of the plant, the asphalted section fits as a contrast.
