  • Runoff ice is often yellowish in color from the humus in the soil and it usually occurs on the north side of cliffs where there is no sun to evaporate the water. This kind of ice should not be confused with normal icicles. The only article about this phenomenon is in the Swedish WP, but since you are Norwegien as well as lector of biology, I don't think there will be any problem for you to understand it. I especially like that this piece of "svallis" looks like a frothing river waterfall (rivers can be yellow too) captured at 1/1000. :) --Cart (talk) 22:33, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
