- Support Street art forms a core part of Melbourne's culture – I'm surprised that we don't have any FPs of Melbourne's street art. For me, everything in this photo just works – composition, salience and colours (I'm not a huge fan of the top, but I find it necessary so the "end no stopping area" sign is visible, and I did wish it was taken by a Commons photographer instead). --SHB2000 (talk) 01:32, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Question What about Australian freedom of panorama? --RodRabelo7 (talk) 14:59, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Per w:Freedom of panorama#Australia, it only applies to permanent artworks – murals like these aren't permanent, so I don't think it applies. SHB2000 (talk) 23:32, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- The mural is permanent, as per FoP rules. The painting can't be moved away from the wall, that's the point. Yann (talk) 18:35, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
- In that case,
I withdraw my nomination. --SHB2000 (talk) 11:11, 30 July 2023 (UTC)

- I don't understand. You are withdrawing based on there being freedom of panorama for these murals? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 14:50, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- The Wikipedia article says "This means the reproduction of 'street art' can potentially infringe copyright." --SHB2000 (talk) 21:39, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- I reread COM:FOP Australia, which makes clear that paintings do not have freedom of panorama under Australian law. Only 3D works and 2D works that are purely "works of craftsmanship" have freedom of panorama. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:04, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- In that case, I've struck my withdraw. I'm not an expert on FoP, so I'll leave it to you. --SHB2000 (talk) 11:17, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- You don't understand what "freedom of panorama" means. It's an exception from copyright enforcement that allows for photos of publicly-viewed art that's copyrighted to be published and used commercially (or in the case of non-commercial freedom of panorama, non-commercially, but Commons doesn't allow for such publication terms). The lack of freedom of panorama is the reason you should have withdrawn this nomination, because this photo will surely be deleted if nominated at COM:DR. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:58, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
