  • I prefer to keep the camera inline with the cross-section of the horizontal and vertical centerlines of the subject while capturing a butterfly in closed wing posture. I can possibly include the bottom part of the wing in an inclined angle of view but think it is not beautiful due to a lot of reasons. So I’m on my knees with elbows on the ground in most of these shots; sometimes camera simply rests on the ground. :) Not arguing; just explaining why I prefer this angle of view.
