Hundred maps of South Australia edit

Request withdrawn

The State Library of South Australia has released about a thousand cadastral maps of Hundreds in South Australia, dating from the 19th and early 20th century. They are released as public domain in the Flickr album https://www.flickr.com/photos/state_library_south_australia/sets/72157659241506691

An appropriate target category in Commons would be Category:Cadastral maps of South Australia which currently contains only one file.

The images would be useful for Wikipedia articles linked from wikipedia:en:Lands administrative divisions of South Australia which is work in progress to document the cadastral divisions of South Australia including Counties and Hundreds.

The images appear to be marked as expired copyright due to their age. They all contain links in the metadata to a full record in the SLSA index.

The right PD template is therefore {{PD-Australia}}, under point E.

Thank you.

done myself edit

After noticing the backlogs and a small set of mostly-inactive users to process the queue, I asked at Commons:Village pump#October 25 and was advised that most people now use Flickr2Commons or PattyPan, so I had a go with Flickr2commons and seem to have gotten it near enough. I think I have included a valid licence template, but it may be in the wrong part of the description as there seems to be another template as well. It was not obvious where the template should be entered in F2C. I put it in "Add to every description" and included two categories in "Append everywhere (categories etc.)" Category:Cadastral maps of South Australia and Category:Files from the State Library of South Australia. --Scott (talk) 11:14, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
