  •   Question Is the right tower really that tilted? Seven Pandas 22:40, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Comment It's an image artifact which comes from the very close distance between camera and subject and the rectilinear projection. I have uploaded the same image with equirectangular projection; that projection has less tilting but unfortunately the lines are no longer straight. Spike 10:25, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose per now. Distortions need to be revised. If the stitcher doesn't make it, post-processing is necessary. --Milseburg (talk) 11:01, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
    • After my last comments on the image below I went ahead and also uploaded a modified version of this file where the part of the image containing the right tower has been transformed and some cloning has been done where the image parts meet. Spike 19:53, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose Per Milseburg. In the middle the building looks curved and the sphere on the left tower is certainly round. No easy task to put together wide angle shots.--Ermell 17:49, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Question Now that the images won't be QI, I'm not sure if it was such a good idea for me to have modified them by hand. That transforming of parts of the image and cloning where the parts meet that I did feels a little like cheating to me. My question therefore would now be if I should revert them to their original state. The distortions in those original versions are at least consistent over the whole image because they come from a certain perspective used in merging the original images. File:Schloss_Wiesenthau_south_01.jpg edit

  • Nomination The southern side of Schloss Wiesenthau in northern Bavaria --Spike 21:13, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Decline
  •   Question same question Seven Pandas 22:40, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Comment Same answer. Here is this image with equirectangular projection. For both images I could not put the camera further back because there was a steep drop/a tall wall in the way. Spike 10:37, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose The gable and the roof are very wavy. It is necessary to compensate all these distortions.--Milseburg 10:55, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Those are not distortions. The gable and roof are that wavy in reality, see for example File:Wiesenthau Schloss 2240088.jpg or File:Schloss Wiesenthau1.jpg. I could also upload one of my original photos which clearly show the waves in the roof. But I noticed a stitching error on the right side of the roof ridge. I have uploaded a new version which should fix that. Spike (talk) 11:32, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
      • Maybe your're right concerning the gable and it's really not as straight as I expected. But the leaning in tower hoods? I think User:Ermell know this place and tell us his opinion. --Milseburg 09:23, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
        • I have uploaded a new version of this image where I have used the "Handle Transform" tool in Gimp on the outer parts of the image to make the towers look less tilted. But I had to use some cloning to smooth the transitions where the image parts meet, especially where the tower roofs meet the main roof. If this is acceptable I would do the same for the other image. •   Oppose I cannot confirm that the pediment is so undulating. That should be rectified. The building is also heavily overstretched.--Ermell 17:52, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
