Support I fight these individuals on a daily basis. Here we don't promote them, we just say look at what exists. It is by understanding the disease that we will know how to avoid it. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:15, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Exactly. If I adopted standards like Charles', I would have to oppose ever allowing a valued image of any Nazi, any anti-Semitic czar, any Jew-killing terrorist, any Crusader, any Spanish nobility or official associated with the Inquisition...and if I took things to their "logical" extent, a majority of European artists might have to be off-limits because they publicly or privately stated anti-Semitic views. Imagine opposing the recognition of any work by Rodin, one of the all-time great sculptors, because he was an anti-Dreyfusard! Where the hell would this end? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:49, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Comment I think we should distinguish between history and current affairs. Wikipedia advises against creating controversial content. Surely it is reasonable to question the motivation (and timing) for Butko suggesting a VI for this man, reported on 24 Feb 2022 to be a drug-dealer and arms-runner.
