  Comment I'm concerned on this one. I'm all in favour of mounted specimens from years gone by, but for today. I don't think we should be promoting images of dead animals and certainly not killing them to mount them (I'm assuming this one was dead when you found it).   •   Comment There is no problem for specimens in public collections or laboratory study. The mounted specimens are extremely valuable for identification. In this case I am surprised that the specimen was not "prepared". Entomological prepartions are codified or so shows a particular physiological atitude to didaciques purposes.
