Commons:Valued image candidates/Kaaba mirror edit jj.jpg/Archive of previous reviews

  •  Comment The image had no non-trivial categories, which is a must for VI. As a start I have added Category:Kaaba, but there may be more relevant categories, such as the event under which the photo was taken. Next, it lacks geocoding of the camera location (please include the heading as well). Once this is fixed I will continue the review. -- Slaunger 07:32, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support Geocoding fixed. I think it is the most valuable image we have of the Kaaba on Commons. The closest competitor is probebly this image, which is also a quite good illustration, but not so much of the Kaaba itself but more of the interaction between people and the Kaaba. The scope in itself is IMO definately also of sufficient value to warrant a VI. I have also noticed that several book authors are trying to make contact to you asking for persmission to include the image in books about religion, which is another cadeut for its value. -- Slaunger 19:29, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
