Question why does this door deserve a scope - even the building itself would not seem worthy. Is it the best example of a particular entrance design or construction? Charlesjsharp (talk) 09:12, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Answer: Thank you for your question about this detail of the shelter under the Lukmanier Pass Passo del Lucomagno. (Shelter at the pass at 1915 m) This dilapidated shelter is almost one with the rugged surrounding mountain landscape. The Lukmanier Pass was already used during the Romans and the migrations. To me, this is a special building in a hostile and fascinating environment. The mosses on the building blocks, the weathered colors on the door and the window frame. Beautiful!--Agnes Monkelbaan (talk) 17:37, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't commenting on the beauty. But I ask you to explain how this qualifies for VI under the guidelines. How could this being a VI be of any use? Charlesjsharp (talk) 21:55, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Utility is a relative concept. When I look at this building and its details, I am amazed at what nature has done to the object over the years. It excites me enormously. So it is useful for me to experience this. Other hikers do not see the beauty and just keep walking. For them, the confrontation was not helpful.--Agnes Monkelbaan (talk) 06:01, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
