  •   Question Is there anything recognizably unique about this interior view? Couldn't a highly similar photo have been taken at numerous other libraries? I suppose it has some value in context, but I'm having trouble seeing this as a valued image. Look at Commons:Valued image scope#Examples of suitable scopes: "A visually distinct type or significant aspect of an object". -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:28, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's complicated, perhaps a specificity of the location. They don't operate the entire building, so such a photo is the only way to represent the collection. Perhaps, "A location of more than local interest" is applicable here? As the largest Yiddish language library in Europe. Location can be an interior? --Andrei (talk) 08:53, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • No they don't. Quite a few have quite distinctive interiors. The Main Branch of the New York Public Library immediately came to my mind, but there are many others (the 2nd one I thought of was the Main Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library). Anyway, I think the point is made and I don't see how we can promote this as a VI, so I'll   Oppose on the basis of a lack of visual distinctiveness. I'd welcome pushback from others. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:43, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
