Reason	I believe that this image shows the construction of a quadrat better than any other image in Commons. It should be noted that quadrats vary enormously in size - this one has 5 cm squares - quadrats with larger squares may be constructed using string on site or even, when for example counting species of trees, drawn onto an aerial photograph. -- Martinvl (talk)
