@Ikan Kekek: The village area totals 3.95 sq km. Besides the buildings clustered on the main road, there are outlying farmhouses scattered up the mountain slope for a few 100 m. Though the nominated image covers only part of the total area, it includes the essential elements of the whole village. It is possible to see details of the building architecture, the fields, some outlying houses, the hilly terrain -- capturing the essence of the village. Hence, I think the scope is appropriate. --Tagooty (talk) 10:26, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
All the buildings in both photos are part of the village. In the other photo, the scrub forest in the left-center top part of the photo is not part of the village. In the nominated photo, practically the whole photo is the village land. For what its worth, before nominating, I had taken opinions from 3 people who live near Salgi and who work with the villagers as to which of the Category photos best represents Salgi. All chose the nominated photo. The other photo was 2nd and 3rd preference. --Tagooty (talk) 09:07, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
