Commons:Wiki Loves Africa 2024/Tyap Wikimedians
This year's edition themed "Africa Create," would be the second time the Tyap Wikimedians would be participating in a Wiki Loves Africa event. The theme, "Africa Create," encourages submissions of media that capture the processes of creating, inventing, and manufacturing culturally significant items. This can encompass a wide range of subjects, including makeup, art, hairstyles, music, dance, clothing, woven materials, and more. Essentially, it seeks to showcase elements that promote Africa's rich heritage and culture, as expressed through various artistic forms such as music, song, dance, and movement.
Participate
Discover Africa Create events and activities in and around the Central Nigerian Plateau area, capture a photograph, and contribute it to Wikimedia Commons:
Africa Create by the Tyap Wikimedia Community
Capture the creative essence of Africa through media showcasing the making of culturally significant items, art, music, dance, and more.
Take photos
Make as many and as good photos as you can, try different angles. Even if the photo doesn't win you a prize, it may help Wikipedia!
Describe them
Write down what you photographed. Record the name, description, and date of photo.
Upload to Commons
Upload your images to Wikimedia Commons between 1 March 2024 and 30 April 2024. Create an account, if you don't have one already.Contact us!

Rules
Same rules as the international contest. To take part in Wiki Loves Africa 2024 in Nigeria, a submission should:
- Be self-taken
- All entries must be original photographs uploaded by their authors. Photos uploaded by anyone else than author (even with permission) are not accepted.
- Be self-uploaded during the contest period 1st of March to 30th April 2024;
- You are also welcome to submit photos you may have taken in the past. What matters is that photos must be uploaded during the contest period (1st March – 30th April, 2024)
- Be under a free license;
- Contain an identified image of Climate and Weather;
- Be at least 2MB in size.
- A participant should have an activated e-mail address via Preferences of their account.

Add the categories Images from Wiki Loves Africa 2023 by Tyap Wikimedians Community and Images from Wiki Loves Africa 2024 in Nigeria and Images from Wiki Loves Africa 2024 to be eligible.
