Originally, this is a Chinese literary work called Chin P'ing Mei, written by Wang Shih-cheng... Then it was translated into German by Franz Kuhn... It was thereafter translated from German into English by Bernard Miall... Following that, Jacob translated this English version [into Thai] and gave a new name to his Thai translation: Buppha Nai Kunthi Thong ["Flower in Golden Vase"]
